Grace Community Center Partnerships
Based on our assessments, we are building relations with strong community organizations and leaders to better serve our neighborhood. Our community partnerships include:
CCMI, Community Cooperative Ministries, Inc.
We will partner with CCMI, working closely in feeding the hungry of our community through a food bank, and the Meals on Wheels programs. Sam Galloway and Friends 4th Annual Benefit has raised $35,000.00 for this partnership project.
Literacy Volunteers of Lee County
The Center will provide literacy services to adults with low reading and writing skills or for whom English is a second language.
Family Health Centers of SW Florida, Inc.
The Centers have agreed to provide free medical care to the needy.
Senior Friendship Center of Lee County
The Center will provide sliding cost medical services to those 50 and above.
United Way
We are developing a partnership to become a United Way House.
Lee County School Board
The School Board will be offering GED classes at the Grace Community Center Saturday mornings, starting September 8, 2007 at the existing Cape Coral campus.
Goodwill Industries
Goodwill
and the Grace Community Center are discussing an automotive repair job training facility at the Center to train individuals to overcome their barriers to employment and independence.
